EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT V-BUCKS IN FORTNITE: BATTLE ROYALE

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, developer Epic Games has chosen to designate the so-called V-Bucks as payment in the game. We explain here exactly what those coins are and what you can purchase with them.

V-BUCKS

V-Bucks are the in-game currency of Fortnite: Battle Royale. These coins can be used to purchase cosmetic in-game items and the Battle Pass. One of the ways players can get V-Bucks is by simply buying them through the store of their platform. This is possible for 10 euros, 1000 V-Bucks, 25 euros, 2800 V-Bucks, 60 euros, 7500 V-Bucks, and 100 euros, 13500 V-Bucks, but you can also get the coins by playing the game. Players who own the Save the World mode in addition to the Battle Royale mode within Fortnite can also earn V-Bucks here.

This is how you earn V-Bucks by completing the Battle Pass challenges in Battle Royale mode. For example, when unlocking tiers 4, 11, 18, 19, 27, 34, 35, 43, 51, 59, 67, 75, 83, 91 and 98 of Season 4 in Fortnite: Battle Royale, players receive 100 V as a reward -Bucks.

For the previous season, Season 3, Epic Games made it possible for the first time for players to purchase the Battle Pass with V-Bucks. Before that, players only had the option to purchase a Battle Pass with real money.

ITEM SHOP

The item shop within Fortnite: Battle Royale comes daily with a number of in-game items that players can purchase with their V-Bucks. These usually consist of two featured and six daily items. The former are often two items that have something in common and are available for one day, just like the daily items. These consist of six random items, skins, pickaxes, gliders and emotes, from various rarities, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary, which indicate how much the object can be purchased for.

The items in the Fortnite Item Shop are changed regularly and players have no assurance that an item will ever return to the store. For example, a number of special skins have already been released in the store that have not yet returned. In addition to the above items, Epic Games also occasionally offers discounts on Battle Pass Tiers and V-Bucks.

All in-game items within Fortnite: Battle Royale are cosmetic only and have no effect whatsoever while playing the game mode.

MANIPULATION

Because mostly younger players are active in Fortnite: Battle Royale, unreliable parties make great use of this. With apps, websites or giveaways on YouTube they try to manipulate players with so-called free V-Bucks. Many players fall for this and lose their Fortnite account or real money.

In March this year, developer Epic Games announced that they were aware of this and indicated that V-Bucks can only be purchased via the official Fortnite website. We at InsideGamer, too, would like to advise players to never simply give your account details to third parties and point out that V-Bucks can only be reliably purchased through Epic Games.
